There’s a moment many of us reach on the healing path when we start to sense how much our inner world has been carrying, and how little space there has been to actually feel it.

That’s where this week’s conversation began.

Amanda Biccum joined me for an incredibly grounding and expansive episode about life force, capacity, Tantra, and what it truly means to live from the body. Her clarity, her embodiment, and the depth of her practice brought so many pieces of my own journey into focus.

As she spoke, I kept feeling this awareness circle back;

Most of us were never taught to live inside our bodies.
We were taught to manage them, override them, or escape them – but not to trust them.

This episode was a powerful remembrance of what happens when we finally come home to that intelligence.

The truth of life force

One of the first things Amanda shared was how this year has been a massive initiation into her own capacity… not in terms of productivity, but in how much life force she can hold while still honoring the reality of her human life.

She talked about life force as a channel, a frequency, a creative current that pours through the body when it’s open, through prayer, movement, breath, lovemaking, music, and presence.

As she spoke, something clicked in me.

So much of what we call “spiritual practice” is really just learning how to open enough to feel what’s already moving inside us.

Tantra as a path of remembering

Amanda offered a powerful perspective:
Tantra is not primarily about sexuality – it’s about remembering the divine in every moment.

She explained the two tantric lineages, how Neo-Tantra became centered around sex, and why the deeper tradition is really a spiritual practice of awareness.

It’s a practice that teaches you how to find God in breath, contraction, music, pleasure, stillness, and in the ordinary moments of daily life.

What struck me most was her description of the 112 meditations in the Vidyan Bhairava Tantra – teachings that invite you to meet the full spectrum of your experience, including the darkness and the edges you would rather avoid.

Hearing her speak about that felt like a mirror for the last year of my life… all the edges I’ve had to meet, all the waves I’ve had to ride, and all the places I’ve needed to surrender instead of force.

Patterns that echo into every part of life

Something Amanda said landed so deeply in my body:

How you relate to intimacy is often how you relate to everything.

She named the grasping, pushing, escaping, and performative aspects of intimacy – and I immediately saw all the ways those same patterns live in entrepreneurship, leadership, relationships, and in how we chase goals or burn ourselves out.

For me, healing has been that same pattern-breaking.
Letting myself feel instead of override.
Surrender instead of grasp.
Letting myself be in the wave instead of forcing myself past my capacity.

The five bodies + wisdom of embodiment

One of my favorite parts of the conversation was hearing Amanda speak about the five bodies – mental, physical, emotional, energetic, and spiritual – and how life force becomes accessible when all five are awake and connected.

It gave language to something I’ve lived without always fully understanding.

There have been seasons in my life where the mental body was overloaded, the emotional body was suppressed, the energetic body was scattered, and the physical body was trying to hold it all. The spiritual body was the only one I listened to, and even that was filtered through exhaustion.

And then there were seasons where everything finally began to open, and my body’s intelligence actually guided my decisions.

That’s the transformation I feel so many women moving through right now.

Navigating growth in partnership

Near the end of the episode, we dropped into a topic I hear from women constantly:

What happens when you grow… and your partner isn’t growing in the same way?

Amanda’s answer was simple…

Live your embodiment.
Invite without expectation.
Celebrate every small yes.
Let your openness be the transmission over pressure.

It echoed so much of my own journey with Matt, and the places where I realized I didn’t need him to mirror my spiritual evolution in order for my evolution to be valid. I needed to stay true to what my body was telling me.

Coming home to yourself

This conversation was a reminder that your body is not something to manage or control.
It is a living intelligence.
A channel for creativity.
A barometer for truth.
A gateway for healing.

And the moment you choose to inhabit your body and really feel her and honor her needs and desires, your relationship with life starts to shift.

This episode goes live on January 13th, and you won’t want to miss it… stay tuned.
