When Spiritual Gifts Outgrow the Container
There’s a line between developing spiritual gifts and being prepared to use them in service to others. This episode is about what it actually looks like to be a grounded, sovereign practitioner in a saturated spiritual landscape, and why discernment matters more than ever.
For a long time, I held a belief that having spiritual gifts meant you were ready to share them. That if visions were coming through, if you were channeling, if your sensitivity was opening – you needed to immediately share it with the world. Years of doing this work taught me something different.
What I’ve come to understand is that the gift and the readiness are two different things. One is given. The other is built slowly through devotion, refinement, and a deep willingness to look at what you might still be carrying that could distort what moves through you.
I’ve watched people step into facilitation roles before they’ve done their own work. I’ve sat in rooms where the energy of the practitioner was unclear, and the people in their care were the ones absorbing it. I’ve felt the difference between someone who has built real spiritual hygiene over time and someone who’s running on raw ability without the inner architecture to hold it. And the difference matters. It matters because real people are on the other end of that channel.
What Sovereignty Actually Means
This week’s guest, Victoria Pippo, is someone who speaks to all of this with embodied clarity.
Victoria is an interference healer for global visionaries and high-performing lightworkers. She works with leaders navigating influence and impact, helping them clear the subtle distortions that disrupt discernment, sovereignty, and natural order. She’s the founder of The Sovereign Healer™, The Spiritual Debate podcast, Light Types, and The Great Merge™. Her work bridges spiritual resolution, psychic hygiene, and the unseen influences shaping modern leadership, equipping high-level change-makers to operate from God’s power rather than false light fragmentation.
Victoria’s path into this work didn’t come from theory. It came from eighteen years as a child performer who built her entire identity on external validation, an awakening that opened her up faster than she had containers for, and a dark season in 2022 that broke open everything she thought she knew about energy.
Listening to her describe sovereignty was one of the most grounded definitions I’ve heard in a long time. Sovereignty, in her words, is being at home in your own channel without externalizing your power to middlemen. Without needing a teacher, a modality, or a channeled message to confirm what your own field is already telling you.
That landed for me. Because I’ve watched so many spiritual practitioners, myself included at certain points, outsource their truth to someone else’s voice.
The Pendulum Swing
One of the conversations that opened up in this episode was the collective pendulum swing happening right now from new age spirituality back into Christianity. Victoria has been tracking this for a few years and named something I’ve felt without putting words to.
The swing isn’t necessarily a divine calling. Often it’s a divine interception. People become so overwhelmed by the saturation of spiritual information, channeled messages, modalities, paths, and frameworks, that they have nowhere to go but back to something more contained. Something with structure. Something they don’t have to hold the responsibility for themselves.
There’s beauty in returning to Christ, to God, to whatever name resonates. But Victoria’s observation was sharp: going from lost to lost will not help you find clarity. The container changes, but the underlying pattern of externalizing your power doesn’t.
Gathering Without Growing
A piece of this conversation that I keep coming back to is what Victoria named about how we relate to spiritual information.
So many of us gather. We take the courses, we read the books, we listen to the podcasts, we hire the mentors. And we mistake the gathering for growing. But growth, real growth, feels like bones stretching. It feels like something inside us breaking open to make room for what’s next. And because that’s uncomfortable, we keep gathering instead of integrating. We use information as a way to avoid the actual transformation it’s pointing us toward.
I felt that one in my body. The seven months I spent in spiritual cocoon earlier this year were a direct response to that pattern in myself. I had to stop gathering. I had to stop facilitating. I had to sit with what was already there and ask what was actually mine to integrate.
When Channelers Cross the Line
We also talked about something I rarely hear named in spiritual spaces, which is the violation of consent that happens when practitioners channel information at people without permission.
Victoria shared a story about a guest on her podcast who randomly channeled that Victoria had an Atlantis implant in her throat chakra. No invitation. No request. Just dropped it into the conversation. I’ve experienced versions of this myself, including in medicine ceremonies where a facilitator put something into my field that I had to spend weeks unraveling.
This is a real issue in spiritual community. We live on a planet of free will, and yet there’s a sense in some spiritual spaces that being intuitive gives you the right to deliver unsolicited information about someone else’s body, energy, or path. Victoria called it spiritual arrogance, borrowing language from Xavier Dagbus, and the framing was perfect. The breach is real. And the harm is real.
The Vulnerability of Real Service
One of the parts of this conversation that opened me up the most was when Victoria spoke about what it actually takes to be a hollow-bodied conduit.
She named that being in true service to your divine work is a narrow, vulnerable path. You’re constantly meeting your own deepest fears and doubts. You’re putting your work out without knowing how it will be received. And the thing that keeps you grounded is the willingness to remember that the gifts are not yours to claim. They came through you. They were given.
I shared a moment from a year ago in this episode that I haven’t talked about much publicly. I was in the middle of a deep initiation, and after a ceremony, I ended up on the bathroom floor in fetal position, sobbing. Saying I don’t want to do this. The up-level was so big, so uncomfortable, and I was grieving the storylines I had to put to bed in order to keep moving on this path.
That’s the part of devotion we don’t always name. There is a cost. There is sacrifice. And anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you something.
This episode airs on May 5th and I’m so excited for you to hear it.
